The project involved: A complete showroom installation on the ground floor 180 workstations and offices on the upper level Removal of over 2 tonnes of outdated cabling from the previous system The showroom featured: 800 lighting fixtures designed to enhance product displays with precision The upper floors included: 400 LED panel lights to optimize the office environment 300 data points for seamless connectivity A state-of-the-art server room with two full-height server racks Upgrades to switchboards and general power systems Floor boxes and TV connectivity options for improved functionality Despite strict deadlines and unforeseen challenges, the execution remained on track, with all installations completed as planned. Insight Building Services commended Lightspeed Electrical’s ability to manage project variations efficiently while maintaining the project timeline.

Lightspeed Electrical, contracted by BTF Projects undertaking the Australia Post contract – Full Electrical Wiring Installation. Lightspeed Electrical successfully completed a challenging and strategic electrical fit-out for Australia Post in collaboration with BTF Projects, ensuring a high-end finish while adhering to strict deadlines. The scope included a complete redesign and relocation of staff amenities, training rooms, meeting rooms, and gaming rooms within an eight-week timeframe. The main challenge was keeping Australia Post’s 24/7 operations running smoothly without any loss of productivity. The project began with the strip-out and installation of all new data, power, and lighting cables, executed to the highest standards. Frequent client-driven changes required Lightspeed Electrical to quickly adapt and adjust plans throughout the process. A key feature of this project was the installation of a monitored emergency lighting system, architecturally designed pendent lighting, and intricate feature lighting, which had to be meticulously installed. Stage two involved the strip-out of the old kitchen, with only a 12-hour window to isolate and make it safe for the demolition crew. With multiple circuits coming from different directions, Lightspeed Electrical took a systematic approach to identifying and securing cables, ensuring a safe work environment. Throughout the project, frequent design modifications required continuous adjustments, but Lightspeed Electrical remained flexible, installing all necessary electrical services, including data outlets, power points, recessed floor boxes, automated control wiring, and emergency lighting. Despite the evolving nature of the job, the team’s expertise and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship resulted in a flawless execution. Both the client and contractor were extremely satisfied with the outcome, recognising Lightspeed Electrical’s dedication, professionalism, and ability to deliver outstanding results under demanding conditions.

Originally intended to be delivered as a back-to-base shell, the premises were handed over in an unsatisfactory condition—missing half of the lighting and with an incomplete strip-out. Since the client had already signed the lease under an “as-is” agreement, additional rectification work was required to bring the space up to standard. Scope of Work Lightspeed Electrical undertook a complete strip-out of the existing electrical services before executing a full new installation aligned with Lifestyle Solutions’ operational needs. Key installations included: Dynalite Automation Lighting Controls – Integrated for seamless and energy-efficient lighting management. LED Lighting Installation – Complete setup, including panel lights and downlights, to enhance illumination and efficiency. Over 250 Data Points – Ensuring robust workplace connectivity for all workstations and meeting spaces. Power Supply to 130 Workstations – Providing reliable power distribution to support daily operations. Meeting Room Integration – Fully equipped with video conferencing systems for streamlined communication. Floor Boxes for Cable Management – Strategically placed at meeting tables for a clean, organized setup. Emergency Lighting System Upgrade – Ensuring full compliance with safety standards. Cat6a Cabling for WiFi Outlets – Delivering high-speed connectivity and enhanced network performance. Removal & Recycling of Old Fluorescent Lighting – Environmentally responsible disposal in compliance with regulations. Boutique Recessed, Wall and LED Lighting Installers Lightspeed Electrical was engaged by BTF Projects to carry out a commercial electrical lighting, data, and power installation. High-end bridal shop, Eternal Bridal in Sydney, was expanding their premises. As we were the electrical installers for the original store, we were delighted to be invited back for the expansion. The upgraded premises at the Strand Arcade on Pitt Street features architectural wall and recessed lighting, LED lights, and more. Works Involved in This Project Various types of installations were part of this project – from functional and design lighting to data and cable systems. During the project at Eternal Bridal, we worked alongside tradespeople and other contractors to see the project to its success. Return Clients This large fit-out was the second project we had completed for Eternal Bridal. The first project was in their original store. Around seven years later, we received the call to help them fit out their larger premises. We were proud to be a part of both the original store and the expansion.
