NSW Police Back to Base Fitout – 21 Charles St, Parramatta

The project involved a full strip-out and reconfiguration of electrical and data infrastructure across a 2000sqm workspace, restoring the site to a neutral base for future fitout needs. This included the safe removal of all existing electrical services, power outlets, lighting fixtures, data cabling, and communications infrastructure, many of which were outdated or no longer aligned with modern workplace standards.

Lightspeed Electrical worked systematically to disconnect, isolate, and remove redundant systems, ensuring the process was carried out in full compliance with Australian safety regulations. All cabling was removed back to its source, and switchboards were reworked to reflect the stripped-back layout. Care was taken to ensure that remaining infrastructure, where required, was left in a secure and code-compliant condition.

With future adaptability in mind, the team installed a basic electrical backbone—including general power, compliant emergency lighting, and provisional data pathways—designed to support a range of future layouts and tenant requirements. This neutral base build allows future occupants to integrate their preferred technology and layout options without needing further demolition or major electrical revisions.

By delivering a clean, efficient, and regulation-compliant shell, Lightspeed Electrical ensured the space was ready for new tenancy fitouts with minimal lead time and maximum flexibility.
